Time to go home…

Time to go home…

We’ve spent much of the Summer here in our French house & it’s been fabulous. Such hot weather (bit too hot tbh), visits to the local markets, dog walks, family visits & oh I got a lot of work done too! Bruno loves it as we’re always around & he gets fantastic walks over the fields that surround us – that is when the cows aren’t there!

beyond our walled garden we’re surrounded by fields

We visited Chateau de Rivau whilst family were visiting – it’s a really lovely place with super gardens & a great restaurant set within their parterre. Look at this super planting scheme & such pretty achilleas…

We took Bruno who was very excited to see all the peacocks

I had some really challenging work to do here in my little studio which I throughly enjoyed…

The whole site is on a severe slope so it was a challenge to make it work but we’re all really happy with the result. My clients wanted a terrace with a view, a plunge pool, kitchen garden, parking for their cars plus visitors & great planting. Their taste is modern so it’s been great to design… watch this space to follow its progress.

This next one is 2 miles from Oxford & here’s bit of it as an axonometric drawing I drew for my clients. They are ready to go so I’ve been finalising the design & specs for them – again watch this space for progress.

We’ve been packing up today whilst the sun is shining as we’re off back to Blighty tomorrow. It’s time to go home which is always a huge wrench …

Til next time from the Cotswolds…
