LINKED CIRCLES A simple low budget solution for a typical Victorian mid terrace property with a long skinny garden
Graham & Jean were fed up with their long thin garden that veered off at a tangent - a garden that gave them no pleasure at all so they came to us to solve their problem. They wanted a stylish garden to spend time in during the day & at night. Their requirements included a dining area, privacy, scent, colour, evergreen planting, storage and a tree or two.
We created a circular timber & wrought iron gazebo at the bottom of the garden to dine beneath that was underlit & festooned with wisteria. This was linked to the house by a series of circles of either cobble paving, gravel or turf. This created unity & interest whilst also making the space seem wider & took ones' attention away from the awkward shape. More height & structure was created within the space with the use of four underlit silver birch trees surrounding the largest circle. Other planting was colour themed & scented again to create a sense of harmony & unity. Finally in keeping with the era of the house we selected a reclaimed mill stone and turned it into a simple and child friendly water feature.
